After decades of contemplating it, a practice run in 2006 and two years of preparation to the boat. I finally started the cruise that I have always wanted to do. The first leg being the infamous Baha-HaHa from San Diego California to Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur. The Baha-HaHa is a fun run regatta that is run every year by the people that publish the Latitude 38 magazine. Over a 10 day period they shepherd more than 100 boats and 500-600 people of various skill levels. All of this with big parties thrown in along the way. After the HaHa run, the rest of the winter was spent gunk-holing around the Sea of Cortez. In the spring, the bash back north. |
